Casting calls for Singers, Dancers, Triple Threats and Acrobats ~ Youth Ages 8-15, Teens & Adults
Show dates:
July (17th-Community night)18th, 19th, 20th & 25th, 26th, 27th
Auditions are hosted at Reverent Rhythms- 3080 I-70BL Grand Junction
Friday, March 14th: 5:30-7:30pm- Youth Ensemble vocal and movement Auditions (Ages 8-15)
Youth & Parents Information Meeting 5:30-5:45pm. Under 18yrs of age must have a legal guardian signature to audition.
7:45-9pm- Solo Vocal Auditions (Youth, Teens & Adults- first come, first serve basis.)
Saturday, March 15th: 1:30-3pm- Dancer Auditions
3:15-5pm- Teen/Adult Ensemble Vocal & Movement Auditions, Information Meeting 3:15-3:30pm.
6-7:30pm- Solo Vocal Auditions (Teens & Adults- first come first serve basis.)
What to expect at Auditions:
Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of Audition time to fill out paperwork, sign waiver, receive Audition number, etc.
There will be a 15 minute informational meeting to answer all the questions, address expectations, etc. Please have conflicts ready to be listed, as casting depends on availability. Tentative Rehearsal Schedules will be provided.
Ensemble Vocal and Movement Auditions- All will learn movement/choreo and song lyrics from the show as a group. Then split into smaller groups to audition.
Solo Vocal Auditions- This is for Leads, Support and Feature roles. Please prepare a 30-45 second appropriate vocal selection of your choice. Bluetooth speakers will be available. Teens & Adults choose either Friday or Saturday for Solo Vocal Auditions. (First come, first serve basis.)
Dancer Auditions- Necessary to place trained dancers in levels for successful choreography. All Dancers will learn levels of choreo as a group. Then split into smaller groups to Audition. Featured Dancers/Acrobats please prepare two 8 counts of special skills.
Call Backs Sunday, March 16th- Dance Call backs if needed 5-6pm. Vocal Duo/Trio Call backs 6-7:30pm. Vocal Solo Call backs 7:30-9pm.
(If not called back, that does not mean you will not be casted. Some roles will be cast night of Auditions. We will only call back who we need to see or hear again.)
We will be accepting video Auditions until March13th. Please send video to info@andcompanyco.com or send thru fb messenger.
Video Audition should include name, age, something about yourself, vocal part preference, 30 second vocal audition, Four counts of 8 of dance/movement/choreography.
For your research we have provided an ideal Character Breakdown and musical numbers list. Check out ‘CATS Character Breakdown’ in “Upcoming Events.”
Casting will be posted by March 26th on website in ‘Upcoming Events’
All Cast Sing Thru: Sunday, March 30th ~ 6pm.
Show Rehearsals: Sundays 6-9pm. April thru June. Add weekday evenings June & July.
